Scheduling Policy: An Update 2024
Effective April 29,2024:
This policy has been established to help us serve our patients better. It is necessary for us to make appointments to see our patients as efficiently as possible. No-shows, last-minute rescheduling, and cancellations cause problems that go beyond the financial impact of our practice. When an appointment is made, it takes an available time slot away from another patient. We pride ourselves with the delivery and quality of care to our patients; no-shows and late-cancellations/reschedules prevent care to other patients.
However, we understand emergencies do occur. If you need to reschedule an appointment for you or your family member, please give our office at least
2
business days advance notice
to avoid cancellation fees (M-W 8-5pm; Thurs 8-12pm).
To accommodate your busy schedule, we perform the following communication regarding your appointment:
- 1 Month postcard reminder
- 1 Month text reminder
- 3 Week text reminder
- 3 Day text reminder (last call to reschedule)
- 2 Day text reminder
- 1 Day text reminder
Note: Just reply “Confirm” and all reminders will cease until your appointment
What are the fees associated with missing an appointment?
$30 for an established patient, $60 for new patients.
How soon do I have to reschedule for a Monday appt? Wednesday at
5:00pm
How soon do I have to reschedule for a Tuesday appt? Thursday at
12:00pm
We do reserve the right to dismiss patients who violate the policy with excessive missed or rescheduled appointments. Those who I have had the privilege of treating, know I take my clinical technique and patient care to the highest priority. Instituting this policy will allow me and my team to continue to uphold these values. Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Dr. Casiano
